DJ GeNie Baffoe is a dynamic DJ, MC, freestyle dancer, educator, filmmaker, and community leader whose passion for Hip Hop culture has inspired audiences across Canada and internationally. Originally from Montreal and now based in Winnipeg, Manitoba, he has dedicated nearly two decades to studying, performing, teaching, and preserving Hip Hop through music, dance, and cultural education. As the creator and organiser of numerous community events and dance initiatives, he has provided platforms that nurture talent, celebrate artistic expression, and strengthen community connections.

Beyond the stage, GeNie is deeply committed to education and mentorship. He is the co-creator and director of Our Scene: The Movie, a documentary highlighting Winnipeg’s Hip Hop dance community, and has contributed to major productions, national celebrations, and community programmes through choreography, teaching, and performance. Whether behind the turntables, on stage, or in the classroom, he continues to use culture, creativity, and authentic expression to inspire the next generation and enrich Manitoba’s arts community.
