Since immigrating to Canada in 1976, he has dedicated more than five decades to advancing education, employment, cultural preservation, and newcomer integration. Through initiatives such as the Annual Job and Career Fair organised with the Afro Caribbean Association of Manitoba, as well as his leadership in establishing Yoruba language schools and mentoring young professionals, he has created opportunities that have transformed countless lives.

His exceptional contributions have been recognised with numerous prestigious honours, including the Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee Medal, the Queen Elizabeth II Golden Jubilee Medal, the Manitoba Lieutenant Governor’s Make a Difference Community Award, the Manitoba Black Community Lifetime Achievement Award, and his coronation as Chief Aare Bobajiro of Sawonjo Land.
