Calistus Ekenna is a registered social worker, family therapist, and passionate advocate for social justice whose work is centred on supporting families and building stronger communities. Holding a Master of Social Work and registered with both the Manitoba College of Social Workers and the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers, he currently serves as a Trustee on the Brandon School Division Board, having been elected in 2020 and re-elected for a second term in 2022. In his professional role as a Protection Supervisor and Family Therapist, he continues to champion the well-being of children, families, and vulnerable individuals.

A proud Manitoban for more than a decade, Calistus has devoted himself to helping newcomer families integrate successfully into Canadian society through educational, social, cultural, economic, and civic engagement. Alongside his wife, he organises community camps and recreational initiatives that foster connection and belonging. He is also the author of Trail of Desperation: A Case Book of Human Trafficking, reflecting his commitment to raising awareness of critical social issues and advocating for meaningful change.
